For smaller businesses, one of the main advantages of a business credit card is that it easily allows you to separate your personal and business expenses. This can save time and money when it comes time to do your accounts and taxes.

Business credit cards can also allow you to budget your expenses more effectively. If you tend to pay your statement balance in full and on time each month, you can benefit from a number of days of interest free credit. If you are looking to buy a more expensive item, you can spread the cost over a number of months, although this will usually incur an interest charge.

Most business credit cards allow you to have a number of card for different staff members. While you have one overall credit limit, you will usually be able to set separate limits for individual cards so you know your employees are limited in the use of their cards.
