Conran Credit Card

This could be the card for those that like to shop, live and eat in style - the Conran Card.

The Conran Card works a little differently than most other credit cards. Rather than getting a flat level of rewards or cash back, you earn shares in the profits of the card.

Other features, such as interest rates and fees will work just like any other credit card you have.

How it Works

Most credit cards give you points, miles or cash back for each pound you spend. The Conran card gives you 1 share in the card's total profits for every £100 you spend.

If you shop at Conran stores you will earn extra shares for money you spend there. Instead of earning just one share per £100, you will earn 5 shares - a big difference. This can add up if you are buying more expensive items such as furniture.

Interest Rates and Fees

The Conran Card is currently offering a special deal for those that want to transfer balances to the card. You will receive an interest rate of 0% p.a. for the first 12 months of card membership. After the initial 12 months, any outstanding balances will incur interest at the standard rate. Transferring balances does still incur a 2% fee though, even in the promotional period.

There is also currently an intriductory rate of 0% APR for purchases too. This will last for the first 3 months of your card membership.

The standard interest rate for both purchases and balance transfers is currently a Typical 15.9% APR variable. Cash withdrawals will incur a slightly higher rate, currently 22.9%.

You can enjoy an interest free period of up to 56 days. There is no annual fee on this card and you will also benefit from internet fraud protection. For those who like to do business online, there is also free online account access.

Credit Sources Review

This could be a good card if you're looking for something a bit different in the way of rewards. However, some people might prefer to know exactly what rewards they're getting up front.

Other features of the card, such as interest rates and fees are all fairly typical. It may, therefore, come down to where you like to shop. Those that like to shop or eat regularly at Conran's will, obviously, find the card extra beneficial as you get 5 times the rewards for the money spent at Conran stores.
